Ductility is ability of a structure to undergo large deformations and deflections when overloaded.

Three internationally recognized Ductility Grades are :
Low (L), Normal (N) and Earthquake / Seismic (E) *

Defendo QT exhibits same properties as in Grade(E) rebars, which are most suitable for Structure & Construction in seismic zones 3,4 & 5. The measures for ductility are Uniform Elongation and the Tensile Strength/ Yield Stress Ratio.

Unique process of heat treatment technology induces high strength in DEFENDO QT rebars, yet retaining the modulus of plain carbon steel, 210 Gpa [29,000,000 psi] as shown in the stress-strain graph below.

Our rebar comes in fixed length of "12 mtrs" for standardisation which causes very less wastage during fabrication.
